‘Witness’, directed by Ali Asgari, will be screened at the 14th edition of the festival next month.
“A mother helps an elderly woman in a shopping mall in Tehran. A tragedy occurs, brutally confronting her with the impact of her actions,” a synopsis for the 15-minute film reads.
Iranian feature ‘African Violet’ and short film ‘Zaghchi’ are also among the films selected to be screened at this year’s edition of the Iranian Film Festival-San Francisco.
The IFF-San Francisco, is the first independent Iranian film festival outside of Iran.
This year, the festival will screen 60 films from Iran, and other countries, including the US, the UK, Italy, Canada, Germany, France, China, Bulgaria, and Tunisia.
The 14th annual Iranian Film Festival – San Francisco will take place on September 18-19.
